Do you know someone who wants a head start to a career in care work? Maybe it’s you….
Can you see yourself helping to support someone with a learning or physical disability to live a safe, fulfilling life….from supporting personal care to accompanying individuals into the community?
HS4LC is offering a great opportunity for people wishing to enter care work to be one step ahead of the competition.
We offer you a programme of 24 hours training at our skills centre in Harrogate, using care industry specific training including mandatory requirements such as Safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, Equality & Diversity and Dignity in Care.
Each participant will also receive a minimum 60 hours workplace-based work experience in an adult health and social care setting with coaching & supervision from qualified Health & Social Care professionals.
This hands-on experience will be split 30 hours in a Day Care facility and 30 hours in a residential care setting.
At the end of the programme, you will understand the essential skills required to be a professional Care Worker and you will be supported to apply for care positions in your community, taking advantage of your new training and experience to put you in a confident position of gaining employment.
You will be able to claim travel and childcare for the work experience component of the programme.
We want to hear from you so please contact Julia Moor (Quality & Compliance Manager) at Harrogate Skills 4 Living Centre, 9 North Park Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG1 5PD, call 01423 593719.
