New 2019/20 day centre timetable!

We officially launched our new 2019/20 day centre timetable and welcomed learners back to the day centre after the two week summer break on Tuesday 3rd September.

We have got off to a fabulous start with everyone embracing the new timetable and the introduction of some new amazing classes.

During the first week of the new timetable our Healthy Soups and Seasonal Lunches group started by making a super healthy and super tasty "sweet potato, roasted red pepper and red lentil" soup. Our Magic of the Musicals class kicked of the term with the famous "The Greatest Showman" movie, the new Wednesday Wanderers Group headed to Hookstone Woods and the HS4LC Explorers Club headed to Leeds Market whilst our Crazy Craft groups got stuck into making some fabulous new artworks and the HS4LC Newsletter Group started production of the latest edition of "Believe and Achieve" which will include lots of photos from the summer programme.

The new timetable brings some new courses to HS4LC including Stitch Club, Crazy Crafts and Adventures in Art through Time and Places. We also see the return of some firm favourites for this year including Magic of the Musicals, Ready Steady Cook - Around the World! and Film Club. All the courses ran at Harrogate Skills for Living Centre are for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Our courses are designed to stimulate people's interest and to give them the skills needed through adult education and leisure learning to help them develop. You can find out more about all our day centre courses here.

As well as all the busy going on's in the day centre we have the new intake of the HS4LC Routes to Employment interns, you can check out our blog post here about what they got up to in their first week with Harrogate Skills for Living.
