We are just over half way through our summer programme of activities for this year. We have had some great day trips out over the last few weeks.
We have been very busy visiting exciting places like The Railway Museum in York, Leeds Armouries, Bridlington, Knaresborough Market, Leeds Market and Golden Acre Park. We have also done a magical mystery tour of Harrogate, a spy mission in Wetherby and a treasure trail in Knaresborough!
The HS4LC summer programme is aimed to please everyone and we usually offer a choice of both off-site and on-site activities each day. The programme is put together with the aim of taking advantage of the sunny summer weather and giving HS4LC clients the opportunity to do something a little different to their normal day centre activities and courses that they have been doing throughout the rest of the year.
For those who haven't wanted to go on day trips, we have had some fabulous on-site day activities too including, craft making, film and game days, music classes and healthy lunch making and also a visit from Zoo lab!
We wanted to share some photos of our latest adventures with you:
We have lots more fun activities still to come including tour annual trip to Scarborough!
Don't forget to keep an eye on our social media accounts to see all our photos and latest news!
Have you played The Local Lotto yet?
The lottery is a fundraising opportunity for local voluntary and community groups such as HS4LC, which enables players to be in with a chance of winning cash prizes whilst also supporting local organisations they care about.
How it works is 60p from every £1 ticket will go directly to local charities you select. This is better than the national lottery where only 30p in £1 goes back into the community.
We want to thank everyone who is already playing The Local Lotto and supporting HS4LC! We have already received funds raised through this. We really appreciate the support you show us!
It's not to late to purchase tickets and be in with a chance of winning! Click here to purchase tickets and support Harrogate Skills for Living Centre!
