On Friday the 20th July we took a day trip to Scarborough and what a jolly day everyone had!
We were very lucky as the weather was lovely and warm and the sun was shining. We set off on Friday morning from the centre and arrived in Scarborough at around 11 am, we split into small groups and each group ventured off.
Hadyn's group decided they wanted a fish and chip lunch with a beer, so off they went to a quiet little pub on the sea front. They also had a little walk around and of course stopped for an ice cream!
Chris and Paula's group took a steady walk to the fun fair, where a couple of people went on some rides, then they stopped for a drink at a lovely coffee shop and sat outside to enjoy the sunshine. After their coffee shop stop they carried on with a little walk and took a look around all the little gift shops, where some people bought souvenirs to take home.
Gillian's group headed to the beach to see the donkeys and then went for a fish and chip lunch. After lunch they went shopping in all the gift shops on Scarborough sea front.
Fran's group headed to the gift shops in search of some Scarborough themed key-rings, they then had a fish and chips lunch with an ice cream. After lunch they took a trip on the Scarborough Pirate ship and had a look around the lifeboat museum.
This is our third year of running the Scarborough trip for day centre clients due to popular demand and it is safe to say, that everyone had a great day this year too and the trip was the talk of the HS4LC day centre on Monday!
