Our chance to say Thank you!

About volunteers week!

The 1 - 7 June every year marks the celebration of all volunteers with Volunteers Week!

A week to recognise and celebrate the hard work and dedication volunteers make to organisations like HS4LC.

Our volunteers are a vital part of our organisation and we can not thank them enough for their time that they give to HS4LC and the students.

We want our volunteers to know that every hour they give makes a vital contribution towards achieving our goal of improving the lives of adults with learning difficulties and autism.Volunteers are a vital part of the work we do and enhance the experiences we are able to offer.

A big thank you from HS4LC!

As a mark of appreciation we awarded our volunteers with certificates of achievement and appreciation.

Here are a couple of photos of some of our volunteers with their certifcates:

What our volunteers say:

Jess has been volunteering with us since 2012 and says her favourite part of volunteering at HS4LC is "helping the clients" and would say to anyone thinking of volunteering "that it is very rewarding and HS4LC is a great place".

Christina recently started volunteering with us as she would like to become a teacher so volunteering at the day centre is great work experience for her. Christina says her favourite part of volunteering at HS4LC "is the 'sing, sign & discuss' group in particular and working with the students and helping them learn and to have fun!" Christina speaks very highly of HS4LC and says "it is a very friendly place that helps alot of people."

Rachel is a client volunteer with us and says that HS4LC is "a great place to volunteer!".

Sandra started volunteering with HS4LC in 2017 and says "that HS4LC is a great, happy and positive place to volunteer." Sandra wanted to volunteer with HS4LC "because it is an organisation that has a wide range of opportunities and felt that I could make a difference." Overall volunteering at HS4LC gives Sandra great satisfaction to feel that she has played a part in the clients achieving a goal.
