On the Tuesday 27th March we had our Easter Fair held at the skills centre at 9 North Park Road in the centre of town. The weather may not have been the lovely spring day we had hoped for as it turned out to be typical English weather (cold and wet) throughout the day but we still powered through with our stall outside and also the main craft fair inside the centre. On the day there was a great buzz throughout the centre especially from the enterprise group as they watched proudly as people purchased their handmade items.
For the weeks before the fair the enterprise group handmade all the items to be sold on the day. A lot of time, effort and enthusiasm goes into producing each and every item for the craft fairs.
The HS4LC Craft Enterprise group is held on a Tuesday and our HS4LC Baking Enterprise group is held on a Monday at the centre and the group produce a whole host of different goodies. All the items are handmade and go through quality control to ensure they are of high enough quality to sell at the fair and at the end of the year all money raised through the fairs and stalls gets shared out equally amongst all the members of the enterprise group
We had a whole range of handmade Easter themed products to sell at the fair including:
Easter hot chocolate cones
Orange carrot body scrub
Easter baskets
Easter bunnies
Jewellery
Cakes and sweets
Easter Ornaments
Hand stitched Easter animals
Coasters
Vases
OUR EASTER FAIR RAISED A TOTAL OF £400
We would also like to give a special thanks to Horticap who donated 25 plants and flowers for us to sell at the Easter fair and to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.
We are hoping to be BIGGER and BETTER for our summer fair so keep your eyes peeled as more information will be coming soon with locations and dates.
