Selling success for our enterprise groups

November saw us host out first Craft Fair of the 2017/18 term.

This was a first in many ways; a first for our new craft tutor Naz. A first in our new-look building, with our new-look branding but most importantly a first for many of our learners.

The hand-made items that proved popular were a mix of funky hot chocolate reindeer cones, rudolph candy canes encase in a wool cocoon, dolly mixture jars with antlers and mixed media christmas tree decorations.

Naz selected and organised these items to offer visual, auditory and kinaesthetic crafts that were achievable for our learners.

We held cafe-style refreshments in our teaching kitchen, with tasty gluten-free chocolate brownies, homemade in our Monday Baking Enterprise Group led by Ian Hinton.

The profits from the Craft Enterprise groups are shared amongst our learners at the end of the academic year.

We raised a respectable £350.00

Thank you to all who supported us on the day and in the run up. Special thanks to Helen James Florists, Bookers, Odeon Harrogate, Sovereign 2000 and The Kestrel who all donated prizes for our raffle.

Of course it would not be a HS4LC event without an appearance from our gorgeous George Pierce.
