Chrissy and Pippa show off the Excellence in Care certificate
HS4LC’s care home Brackenley has been given and Excellence in Care award.
The Mayor of Harrogate, Coun Nick Brown, presented the EIC certificate to CEO Hadyn Moorby-Davies at a party for staff, friends, parents and guests.
Coun Brown said he was “absolutely delighted” to present the certificate to Brackenley, which he described as “undoubtedly a very happy place”.
He said: “It is wonderful to see such a caring atmosphere here at Brackenley. You should all be very proud of what you have achieved.”
Hadyn said the award reflected huge credit on Jan Wright and all her staff at Brackenley after a few difficult years with previous owners.
“They have worked so hard to maintain their huge standards of care and this award is a well deserved testament to their dedication and skill.”
Excellence in Care is an organisation that demonstrates an establishment’s commitment to improving and sustaining the quality of care and service user experience.
The EIC assessment report highlighted how “evidence from staff, residents, family members and professionals demonstrated that the ‘resident’ is the primary focus.
The report added: “Staff are very positive….and talents are nurtured, providing residents with access to a range of activities. Staff knowledge, attitude and behaviour is regarded as the home’s biggest asset.
Staff describe ‘time’ as the greatest resource they have available to them and many describe this as ‘the thing that makes the difference’.”Download The Report (PDF)
