Harrogate Skills 4 Living Centre is an established charity working for the benefit of adults with learning disabilities and autism
The announcement of another National lockdown wasn’t the welcome to the New Year we’d all have preferred however we are able to open to provide support groups in a similar way to before Christmas and we’re really looking forward to seeing everybody. Happy 2021 and see you soon.
We are having to work under government guidelines which means that we won’t be able to run all our sessions but we’ll be in touch if this affects you.
However, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 01423 593719.
Supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism.
This timetable will run from the 3rd September 2019 to 21st August 2020
The HS4LC day centre is based in the centre of Harrogate town on North Park Road. We also have two care homes also based in Harrogate.
We recognised that people living with learning disabilities experience isolation and exclusion. Therefore we provide a wide range of support services for our beneficiaries, from basic life skills and further education to promoting independent living and employment opportunities. We also offer a whole range of fun courses at our day centre from Arts and Crafts to Music, to Drama and Gym and Fitness sessions.
We also have three Skills Bridge programmes which offers holistic employment and independence pathways for young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. We have a tiered approach, with a focus on preparation, training and independence.
We believe it is the right of every individual to live to their full potential. No matter the challenge or obstacle; we are there to provide encouragement for beneficiaries, their families, our staff and supporters alike.
HS4LC Ltd was formed in a response to the overwhelming need for support for vulnerable people in our community.
As a charity we require support from the local community and partner organisations in order to develop our services and expand the outreach we have. If you would like to get involved or offer help in any way please get in touch.
